Today DOW is down over 200 points. I expect GABUX to fall. Tomorrow should be Ex-Dividend date as it was in March again I would expect the price to fall. Afterwards I expect the price to go up and I am trying to take advantage of the dip.
Thanks in advance
I believe this is incorrect. For open end mutual funds the record date is the last day to buy. It isn't the day prior. When you place a buy order before the closing time of the market then your buy order is recorded for that same day. So if you placed a buy order for GABUX before market close at 4 pm ET on 6/25/2013 which is today then you are the owner of record on the record date. Tomorrow GABUX goes ex-div and your purchase tomorrow would be without the dividend. The website you reference does not say that you have to buy the day before the record date.
