I have never shorted any stock. But, I was following FTR to see if was a good long term investment. After, doing DD - my opinion is no. One reason(may have mentioned before) was the FTR balance sheet. 36-40% of Assets being displayed is Goodwill. I do not care how it was calculated. A big red flag - in my opinion.
matt -- All you have said is that FTR's goodwill is a red flag. Can you express WHY it's a red flag? Please some analysis to support your conclusion so the rest of us can understsnd why you're concerned about FTR.
I agree look at a #:1 swap into BLIAF BEFORE the 40% distribution cut. Sounds bizarre but look what happened with ATGFF when they converted to an LLC and did their 40% distribution cut. $16.cg to +$19. Get the currency leverage. Get the economy NOT on life support. BLIAF with a management that actually took incentivization cuts in compensation of over $2MM in 2008.
