Now every quarter we get short bombed with the dividend is falling #$%$. Drops 20%, because another telco cut it's divi, FTR iIs making a profit, with a nice P/E, But NO, never good enough. Compare the P/E to all the other Telco's
Maggie should resign, and restore faith in the company to the investors.
If she resigned it might actually be the kiss of death. She would be admitting the company is a lost cause. She would be viewed as the "rat deserting the sinking ship."
FTRs main problem (aside from line losses, underfunded pensions, lower revenues and higher expenses -- LOL) is its low debt rating, making it more expensive to borrow money to grow the business. Also the small telcos are out of favor with Wall Street, and dividend investors are rightly concerned that the div may be cut at any time, despite what mgmt. promises.
