I do not own hhgreg stock, but developed an interest after I saw they were opening a bunch of new stores in Chicago. Looking at a news report, i also show they are opening new stores in Florida. To compound my issue, i look at their location map and they are all over the west coast moving east.
Does anyone have any thoughts on them opening so many stores in relation to the future stock price?
Since the buy back of shares what has the share price done? A dividend usually stablizes the stock price, has that happened here? Low rent areas for new locations? Geniuses are often financially inept. And some "morons" make a lot of money.
Given a choice to set up more stores in questionable areas, or share past profits with shareholders by announcing a dividend, I believe they may have made the wrong choice. It's better to reward their investors first in most situations.
They just returned $50Million to shareholders in the form of buying back 10% of the float. The moron who posted about shoplifting is a mouth breather. They are expanding without debt when things are cheap. The CEO is a genius. Wait 3 years. This will be a 4 Billion Company
they are expanding 20% per year getting cheap rents. they are expanding without using borrowed money. they have zero debt. they are buying back 10% of the float at low low stock price. 70% of float is short. no institutional interest in retail sector right now. back up the truck. I'm long 24000 shares at $13.60
