HGG as well as Costco and Dell and few others all use a thrid party group called "Installs, Inc. LLC" to coordinate all appliance installations and related customer work needs. They need to get away from this group, quit scamming customers out of ridiculous inflated costs over what the job normally should cost so these middlemen can make $$$$.
The stores need to utilize LOCAL skilled tradesmen and small businesses for these installations and cut out these added costs on the consumer, which will in turn relate to better sales for the stores; as repeated consumer complaints have been filed against HGG and the others mainly due to customers getting taken advantage of and being very dissatisfied by the Installs, Inc. group out of New York.
The economy is real bad, and local markets are hurting, so why inflate installation costs further on the consumer whom you are trying to sell your appliance products too??? Makes no sense and will be reason many such retailers will be going under in the coming months. The respectable installers these people use on their systems are being so short-changed and cut where they cannot operate profitably now, because most of the inflated costs the consumer is charged stays with Installs, Inc. ie: hhGregg charging dishwasher installation around $200.00. Installs forced their network of installers to do this for around $50.00-60.00 area. See the problem??? Installs, Inc. forces the local network installers to sign legal docs and make them "proeprty" basically of Installs and forced financial penalties and chargebacks onto them so they cannot say or do anything on a customer site unless it all is ran thru Installs, Inc. first who inflates the additional work needs then gives customer that number, not the true licensed installer's costs to do so.... and why they cannot keep any legitimate licensed installers in the system very long who are being forced to work so cheap they cannot stay in business.
