no thank you. you shareholders can keep tis one. I have no interested in any CEO who feels they are worth over $30M for anything. What a joke. I want a CEO to lead and not put greed at the same level.

The simple fact is nobody is worth that kind of coin. But this is an era of extreme "get all you can get while the getting is good" Greed and avarice. From Sports figures to Entertainers to all the rest they are paid well beyond their true value. If value was an expression of function then my garbage guys should be making that sort of money as they represent a truly valuable function. But it is what it is...a sign of just how messed up our society really is. Welcome to Babylon (so to speak).
I really don't begrudge any of these guys. Do you have any idea how many people are hoping you'll slip so they can have your job? You'd better be real good at steering that giant ship, real good and real good at reading and selecting people - one slip, one iceberg, one sandbar, one on-board fire and you're finished, back to doing Great Lakes tours. So, as "the man" he bears the ultimate responsibility for the success or failure of the company. They make what the board is willing to pay him. You can always appeal to the board mentioning that you're unhappy and you're not alone. You go to a shareholder meeting and get up and speak.
Maybe they could get someone good for $10 mil. but in this case they're getting good value for what they're paying him.
That s another matter. This is business. I expect more from CEOs. To mix the two is just being stupid. Gilead CEO should have more on the ball than a self serving entertainer. When CEOs take in $170M it is a clear red flag they are charging way too much for their product and services. They are gouging the end user and that is just not the way good leadership operates. Thus Gilead CEO is a very small petty person who should be removed.
OK, dopey, feel free to miss the next 1000% gain over ten years, 400% in four years, and 100% in the last year -- that is what happened over the last 10, 4 and 1 year periods.
This CEO earned EVERY penny he was paid..
Anyone can rip other people off. it does not mean people will like it. I hope the next time you are facing a tough situation that the one who helps you out charges you 3x the going rate. I am willing to say you will cry like a little baby about it. Or you are just a clueless idiot.
Sentiment: Strong Sell
You know the point," Where does it STOP" in any job, Aaron Rodgers gets $100 mil. you come in and want $150 because you are jealous. What if the linemen don't block for him as they are jealous? We all LOVE the ceo, but where's the sanity ?
