Sounds like you and me both have great futures as contrarian investment advisors. We simply post the transactions we do with our real money, our clients will make opposite trades, and we can collect a 10% fee on the profits our clients will make. There has to be a way we can make money on our God-given talents!

    • Thanks All... I'm just totally perplexed with the current market. It goes up on Bad news and goes down on no News. Maybe it's the reverse of the selling on good news thing that we had last year. (Buy on the rumor and sell on the news.) Considering a lot of the current players out there are shorts, I guess it would make a weird type of sense.

Slim, I had an Average Price of 23 on Cypress. The thing that really killed me was my Cymer investment, avgerage my price down to 29, last year. Those were real dark days. Happily it recovered and I was able to turn around a lose money on Cypress instead... uggh... I still have a bunch of money laying around, so I'm sure I'll be back in the market at some point. But I need find the right opportunity. This is not a good market to be playing in. Very easy to get burned.

dcxavier, it certainly feels like I'm a contrarian advisor of late. I think you might be on to something... anybody out there willing to pay 10% for an awesome contrarian investor advisor?

The simulation is actually going pretty well considering. I wound up taking some of Gariver advice and shorted the hell out of VTSS today. How can a company with forecasted declining revenue and profits in this market still have a P/E of over 90? Got me. Thinking of adding the to my short positions by shorting every company that supplies CSCO with parts and has a P/E of over 30. Anybody have a handy dandy list or can think of any company that meets this criteria, besides VTSS?

Sno, my Web site is still up and running and I've been pretty good with up-dating it. I will though, from time to time post a message or two on the board, and will definitly be lurking.
