EVEP vs LINE; Request for input

Thanks for the feedback. If the distribution for EVEP is secure, the extra 2% looks good, but I dont like the fact it is more "gassy" than Linn.

Insider selling in Linn is really a non-event as almost all of it is Michael Linn, who recently got divorced and has been forced to sell half his holdings for the former Mrs. Linn and a good chunk for the lawyers -- if you know what I mean and I suspect you do.

That info lets me put LINE back on my prospect list. I already own EVEP and I am thinking of selling half my EVEP and using the funds to buy ENP for the oil exposure. I don't know whether oil/NG will stay decoupled and I don't know which will appreciate in the near term, so I'd like some oil exposure too. The nice thing with MLP's is that the hedging funded divvies will pay me to wait and see which one pops.

    • Take a look at ENP, which is nearly 70% oil, has nearly the same yield as EVEP, is well hedged and has one of the best coverage ratios of the oil and gas MLPs. It is about 50% owned by management and EAC which provides accretive dropdowns periodically.
