    question for the board

I recently purchased 21 shares of Ev Energy because i'm a college student and i like to dabble in the stock market. I got in around $21.00. Now we are over $24. My main reason in getting this stock was the attractive diviend at the time which was 15% now down to around 12%. Also when comparing to other competitors it appears to be ready for explosion seeing it has good fundementals. Over the past couple weeks we have all seen a nice gain. My question is what is driving this stock seeing volume has been average?

    • Since the economic data improved recently, many investors have concluded that the industrial part of the recession is over. So most income stocks have gone up as investors begin to see the high yields as less risky. Most of this buying has been retail, like you and me. When investors get competely comfortable again, the yields should settle into a range of about 6-10% depending on risk. I would expect EVEP to be priced for a 10% yield when this happens

    • The prevailing view is there is desperation on the part of money managers to get in. The mm have done everything to talk the market down in the hope they could buy in at lower prices and it just did not happen.

EVEP is top rated of the more aggressive commodity related plays by Citi.
