This is what i was saying. I don't personally know any shorts in EVEP, but if I thought EVEP was a short candidate, paying a .77 distribution is hardly anything to fear. Down $1.79 today as I write. Personally I wouldn't be shorting in the 30's. But I don't feel any urgency to buy either. Without a Utica deal, this is where it belongs. Obviously a headline Utica deal changes the metrics.

True, but I don't think that's a major hurdle. Hasn't been in the past as paying a .77 distribution on a stock dropping dollars at a time has been a winning bet. The only thing that will truly hurt the shorts is a mid to high 5 digit per acre sale of Utica land. Otherwise EVEP is fully valued here if not somewhat richly priced.

Going back a few years. 2.5 to 3 years maybe? Back before Utica went mainstream. I sold my EVEP position in the 40's as I felt it more than fully priced. The Utica hype changed that for me and everyone else. But if Utica isn't monetized, My original valuation stands as EVEP has been in total hibernation during the past couple years forgowing acquisitions to focus on the failed land sale. Midstream is an expense at this point and ORRI has yet to take hold. My opinon is EVEP is a weaker company than the one i sold. (at great profit)

I'm married to my units bought in the 50's and 60's unfortunately.

On the bright side, CHK says their Utica results have been strong and getting oilier--soon to be released. Normally I'd take that with a grain of salt, but Aubrey is gone and this management team seems much more sober than Aubrey the drunken cowboy
