Any reason why pzzi only has 300 stores?About 15 yrs. ago I owned this stock and their total stores was over 400. I was sitting in a Pizza Inn restaurant/buffet in Greeneville, Tenn. last year and along their walls were highlights of Pizza Inn history. This once had 700+. I got to thinking what went wrong? This company should be the BIG DOG in the pizza business. Back then pizza was not nearly as big business as it is now. Dominoe's, Pizza Hut, etc were not in business or were very small. Thoughts/comments? I like this pizza but none are close.
I'm no expert, but my guess is that they concentrated too much on the eat-in pizzeria concept and didn't market themselves out to be the ultimate pizza delivery concept like Domino's and Pizza Hut. It's inherent to their name unfortunately, (it's Pizza INN) - doesn't mean that they can't turn that around. I know they have a delivery business, but the sad thing is, I own 5000 shares of this company and yet I still don't consider them when I order take out pizza. Oh yeah, and I live in the The Colony, TX where there HQ is.
