Yesterday I treated a friend of mine to a pizza. I wanted him to experience this first hand. We went when they first opened, was actually the second order at 10:42am. But as we sat there at least 10 customers walk through the doors before 11am. But the demographic that I watch was this was young teenagers. The girls were buying the salads and the guys the pie. But before we left the store at 11am, there were 15 kids eating lunch. I serious doubt that there is a single dominoes in the country that at 11am there are 15 young adults ordering product at before 11am.
The salad is definitely a winner with the youth. The key here is the benefits that P5 has over dominoes on so many levels. First the salads, next the fountain drinks, I paid $3.78 for two drinks. We all know that this is a very profitable item and Dominoes would love to have piece of that action. I have already earned a free pie according to my Crust of friends account.
We could see earnings next week. The previous quarter stated that some college P5 stores had some drop, because of school recess. That will improve with these numbers, because kids are back to school. I haven't seen the desert's selling that well. But it's a add on and beverage and salad/pie are the key profit centers.
Daytona 500 crowd starts arriving over the next 10 days and then the bikers follow. I hope that the owner here finds a way to advertise to these groups. The spring breakers right after this, so lot's of opportunity to expose many visitors to P5.
I went to Mcd's at exactly 10:30 to see change over....It was incredible .....6 people in line and 15 came in all within 7 mins..........I noticed the ordered reg hamburgers and fries along with the qrt pounders equally......Many orders of McNugts, filet-of-fish sandwich and their big dog Mcd Wraps burrito's flying to the tray..A great place.....
Any idea what they charge for mini pizzas for kids? I like the idea of having a size for young kids so parents and child will get their own pie. It's in line with what Randy gier talked about on radio show....give customer what they want. See things throughout their eyes
