hahaha if diesel hybrids got 2x the mileage, the VW jetta TDI would be getting 100 mpg.90% of cars would be a Jetta TDI
angrycrab,I'd never heard of a diesel hybrid, so I googled "diesel hybrid" and got this immediately http://www.hybridcars.com/news/vw-hybrid-diesel-cross-coup%C3%A9-concept-promises-157-mpg-42180.htmlBy the way, I drive a 2006 VW diesel Jetta and get 42 MPG on the highway. Lose 10% in town with air conditioner running .... 36 - 37 MPG in that case.Me thinks me likes this new hybrid. Apparently it steps on the toes of big money so we don't have it here in this bassackward country.
the TDI is not a hybrid, it is a turbo
the link was to the hybrid.Of course I don't have a hybrid 'cause they aren't sold in the good ol' USA. Probably because they don't use enough fuel. You people constantly amaze me. So very few comprehend what they read.
