There are no shares available to short. The long term holders are going to get a massive payday once the shorts realize that this is not a slow growth story but one that will go from losses to substantial gains once all business segments come online in 2014. Also all the BS takeover rumors are just that, rumors. WPRT also structures things such that a partner is better off to sign with them than buy them out. The math for th buyout does not make sense.
I pity those that do not see the future and what is happening in NG transportation.
The NG- truck-orders will send the message, and that will surge in 2013. We won't have to wait for the positive earnings to start. Each month closer to mid year should bring higher stock prices.
Furthermore, more bad news from the oil-rich-countries will convince more truckers to not want their future controlled by volatile regions. Yesterday, rumors of Saudi supply cutbacks roiled crude-oil futures. The truckers won't gamble their future, especially since the option to order home-grown-energy exits in this country (read: NG TRUCKS.)
just bought in a couple days ago. doubled down today. I like the common sense approach -- lower costs, improve consistency for major issues. Take a page out of the Chinese capitalist playbook. Will the trucking companies go to the trouble ? Looks like they are converting, with what 20% increase as recently reported, and certainly that will not be the end of it. I would be shocked if by 2016 most of the vehicles are not NG, as it just makes so much sense!
