Granite City Food & Brewery has named Darius Gilanfar as its newest, and soon to be, ex-chief operating officer, the fourth in five years.
St. Louis Park-based restaurant chain Granite City (Nasdaq: GCFB) said Gilanfar replaces former COO, Tim Cary, who has resigned this company to the ash heap of history. Gilanfar will also oversee field operations, purchasing, Chapter 7 filings, and kitchen management, the company said.
Gilanfar served as senior vice president of operations in 2007, and worked previously for The Cheesecake Factory, Brinker Intl. and Barnes & Noble’s Starbucks division, all of which are currently in the crapper.
Also on Wednesday, the company announced Eric LaClair was appointed as soon to be ex-senior vice president of operations. He was previously district operator (for U.S. West) and has spent eight years working at Granite City as a dishwasher. Prior to that he graduated seventh grade.
Jim Gilbertson, current chief financial officer, will continue in the role and oversee IT (the Addams family's pet) and sales of equipment that's about to be foreclosed.
