    Mug Club Prices

Well it's starting to look like another Chammps or Old Chicago now! The Mug Club once was a wonderful place to be for the beer prices! Now GC is becoming another place to drink beer. In MN we have a lot of local breweries like Surly and Rush River - I would much rather pay 5 bucks for that than 5 dollar GC beer. Anyway when it was in the 2 range for a mug it was great - now not so special. Like the local band Semisonic would say "Down in Flames". Enjoy the ride!!!

    • I think GC heard my cries, because as a shareholder I've been asking for this raise in price for a while. They said they expect lower costs next year. With lower costs and higher prices, margins should get back to where GC wants them. Hopefully, they don't lose too many customers in the meantime. I am disappointed in the new point structure, though. I was only a few beer points away from the $75 gift card and now I can't get it. I think they should have left those earlier milestones for current members. After all, it was a one time reward anyway. And what's with the new reward of 10% off food for everyone at the table? That reward means nothing to me, because I'm always there with mug club members who already get 10% off. I'd rather get the next level reward of $50 gift card.

    • Come on. It's $3.95 with an extra discount during happy hour. You're also not taking into account food discounts. You make it sound like they're robbing you blind. A good beer at Old Chicago is damn near $7.00.
