International revenue growth is falling fast and in the US you only need to see what the retailers said to realize that this stock is going to have a major adjustment when earnings come out IMHO..
Now all of you bashed me when I said this now here are the facts :
It did not make 10% nor 9% nor 8% how about 7% with a WARNING that next quarter would be less than that ?
This for a company with a pe ration over 25 !
"The company's revenue growth slowed to 7 percent in the second quarter ended March 31 from 11 percent in the first quarter.
Chief Executive Charlie Scharf said the impact of the strong dollar would be "slightly more pronounced" this quarter before rebounding in the following three months."
Tyson and others on this board tried to tell me that I did not know what I am talking about !
Now lets see if even ONE of you will admit that you were wrong...
Kored you fool, the estimates called for sub-8% sales growth for the 1st quarter. The annual revenue is forecasted to grow between 10%-12% for 2014. Get over yourself.
EARNINGS GROWTH is another story, due to Visa's high (and growing) profit margins. There we have over 15% growth. I like how you conveniently ignore earnings. Guidance remained strong:
"In the company’s outlook for the full fiscal year, Visa guided revenue growth of 10% to 11% with the expectation of a 2% negative impact from currency translation effects.. Adjusted annual EPS is forecast to rise in the mid- to high-teens........"
Comments? Check out that last part....."EPS is forecast to rise mid-to-high teens". Go ahead and write your gibberish about going to the 160's soon. And how you "warned" us. LOL. You are so full of yourself.
Not a Visa investor but am in Mastercard and wanted to know where you got your facts from? Both Discover and American Express (who are much smaller than Visa and Mastercard) showed earnings growth as well as an increase in the adoption of credit cards as payments over cash. So tell me how that doesn't apply to Visa and MA if these are companies in the same space and showed consumers were purchasing online more so than in store?
