Would think this would be all alternatives..
- possibility of converting debt to stock
- reissue debt to take out all the debt
- approach various competitors to see if a takeout is possible
- purchase of smaller ancillary players
who knows if they have had suitors or not..but you would think if they had multiple suitors, they are not happy w/ the price or feel they are being vetted for info, hence they need a broker/middleman. bottom line is MS is there to make money for MS..which is generally a % of whatever deal they do. MSPD basically said we're all looking at 2014 to 2015 to see any real wireless growth, at which time, BRCM, TXN, and probably qualcomm will be much bigger players on top of Freescale. Soooo...go find someone to broker a sale instead of letting everyone play catchup. just thoughts
