I am a long term holder of MSPD going back to the Conextant days. I am considering holding on to my shares after Macom acquires the company. Are any other people considering doing the same?
My reasoning for holding are:
There were many discussions on the board about how strong the analog assets are and how the pico chip acquisition destroyed the balance sheet and limited their ability to invest for the future.
Integration issues and my unfamiliarity with Macom.
Bought 5000 shares 8/7/2006 @ $7.30
Saw Rev.split 1-5 7/1/2008 Now I have 1000 shares
Bought 100 100 100 For a total of 300 as time went by.
Today own 1300 shares at average price of $7.65
I'm pardon the language , but I'm #$%$ . I always had
a feeling that something like this was going to happen,
but after all this time, I feel that we should get more for
our shares. I'm one that will call the lawyers to find out more.
Talked to 2 of the law firms today. I'm in PA. so I called one in Wayne, Pa. (Rich somebody)
Could take 30 days, could take a year. You would get minimum of 5.05 a share. If the court
comes up with 6.00 / 6.50 you would end up with 5.80/ 6.30 is what he said.
