Sirius has until September to trade above $1/share for 10 consecutive days. If it can not accomplish this then there is a whole lot more to worry about. I have no concern.
Sirius should do a reverse split of at least 5:1, maybe even as much as 10:1 in order to bring larger players into the stock and get rid of the daytraders swinging the stock pennies a day.
Sirius is one stock where a reverse split makes total sense for reasons beyond keeping it above $1/share.
Sub numbers should be decent for Q1, but the key statement I am hopefully going to hear on 5/14 is the ramp up in sales since the 1Q ended and new products started hitting the shelves.
Hi Fin: I'm not crazy about having a reverse split. Something tells me that we'd do a 5-for-1 and the price would only double. Call me a neanderthal if you'd like, or a nervous nelly. I also am wary about the earnings CC. After thinking about it, I don't think they will have 100,000 subs by the call. If they did and could announce it, that would be a great headline number. But I suspect we're only at about 85,000 subs so far. So they'll announce new producsts coming out, but we mostly already know about them. Ford news would be huge, but does it exist yet? If Ford is ready to announce, why not wait to do it as part of their 100 year anniversary in June, unless they think the news so inconsequential to Ford to just let SIRI announce it when convenient for SIRI. Look at those XM earnings headlines -- they were frightful -- "XM Loses 100 Million Dollars in Quarter" -- SIRI can expect even worse for our earnings. Sorry for the glum TGIF send-off, but have a nice weekend, all SIRI longs.
If SIRI is gonna do it, it will happen before then. Particularly if we can't muster a 10-day + $1.00 stock price. SIRI had the chance today to add another day. "SIRI is sill looking for a new CFO. Several high-power candidates are being considered." Is all it would have taken. Again, I hope this is not the case, but management may be lightyears ahead of all of us.
I agree. SIRI diulted the stock to get rid of the debt. Now a R/S would make the stock more attractive to funds and other institutions who can only buy at $5 or $10 instead of penny stock being manipulated every damn day by MM scalpers.
