I went in today and played dumb. Said I had no knowledge of Sat Radio but was looking for a birthday present for myself. The guy immediately recommended Sirius. He explained the difference between both very well. He really drove home the better content of SIRI and the fact there is no censorship. I asked if these Sat radio units were selling very well. He said not as much as at Christmas but they sell multiple everyday. I then asked which ones they sold more of. It was Sirius.
Kudo's to Sirius marketing division. This guy really knew what he was talking about. How it worked with my car which is a problem because it's a Maxima. How the rebates worked to get the at home kit and the 3 month free promo.
Might have to add some more shares tomorrow.
Interesting. A direct marketing outsource company. never heard of them. I thought the reps were sirius employees. Hell I would do it for the right amount of SIRI stock options :)
Thanks for the info. But not going to move to Looney Land.

You go to Best Buy, I count Sattelite antennas on cars every night on the freeway . . .that is the advantage of small investors, we are "ON THE GROUND" with these things - just like Netflix - all of my friends started using the service, so I knew that stock would fly. . . BTW - I counted 5 BMW's with SIRI last night on way home - a year ago, I went for a week without seeing one!
It's not a problem with the Maxima. Depending on when your car was built, it could already be Sirius ready. All Maximas built after the first of the year can easily be converted (wiring harness). Older models will need a head unit.
we have a Bose system. Each speaker has its own amp. Where usually the headunit is the amp. So if you wanted a new headunit you would need new speakers as well.
But with the audiovox PNP you just need to tune the radio to 88.1-.9 and the bose tuner will pick up the PNP unit. I also have a boat so I can kill 2 birds with one unit.
