What impresses me most about the SIRI strategy is the long range method of building the infrastructure including top programming, retail outlets, exposure to the potential buyers without expensive advertising via Dish TV and the contracts with Chrysler and Ford.
XM has been a more short term,"Go for it all" and would be sucking air were it not for GM.
Look at our debt and cash positions compared to XM.
We are short in advertising now because Chrysler and Ford do not have product out yet, but wait when they are in full production where it really counts.
This is a long term play with nice profits made on a quarterly basis. We will see another nice spike about July/Aug. Now is a good time to get in.
Great review of a great strategy by Siruis, that is, "long-term view" and building of infrastructure...couldn't agree more! People want it all now, and when a Co. promises the moon, now, and seems fairly capable of "early delivery", people think they chose the "winner", while the "longer-term visionaries" are quietly builing a company which will bring long-term reward and sustained returns to its' shareholders!
