is missing is the ad revenue. The satellite subs are the ultimate targeted marketHigh income huge consumption. They will steal terrestial blind leaving ads only for payday loans and sperm banks.Where would you advertise if you sell any high end product ?Sirius is genius. Each channel has a targeted
OK, I'm confused. What ad revenue are you speaking of? Sat radio=sub service=no ads.
There's some ads on the News and Talk channels. Don't know about the Sports channels - I don't bother with them. But there's ads, so there's ad revenue. Gotta count it somehow!J.
He's talking about the icing on the cake. The revenue stream the market has overlooked. You say no ads. You are partially correct.Sirius has 120 channels....60 some are commercial free leaving the other 60 some with commercials.....such as Talk radio, comedy channels, sports, news, weather, etc. This ad revenue will only grow. It was pretty small % but will someday in my opinion be as large as 25%-30% additional icing on the cake.Cake = subsIcing = ad revenueDecoartions and cherries = video revenueGet the picture!Let them all eat cake!
no ads on music streamsAds are on talk, sports and entertainment streams
They also miss that since only two satellite companies exist, SIRI can raise prices over time. A 20% price increase to $15 per month will accelerate the companies turnaround to profitability.May become the next Google.
Don't forget, Sirius can and will charge extra for video, marine weather service and other add-ons which are desirable to the high-end, quality consumer Sirius appeals to (e.g. BMW, Mercedes, Daimler-Chrysler, etc.)
Any price increase is gravy
well said...nice post. ;-)
