Anyone Else Here Buying SIRI Calls?
They got really cheap this week.
Sept $3.00 calls went as low as .05 but closed Friday at .15
I bought Jan $2.50 calls at .20 and it closed Friday at .30
Those cosing prices are still really cheap.-
true, thats why more then buying stocks is best to really diversify with your options since they due have a short life span.
instead of investing $10,000 in one company buying shares, buy $2,000 worth of calls in 5 different companies and control a bunch more shares.
Better odds. -
If your timing is right you make a bunch on calls, I made a bundle on october november calls. If your timing is wrong you lose your ass, I have gotten killed ever since. Last stand is July XMs, I could use some movement

When you buy calls for 30 cents, then if it reaches the goal value of 2.50 then what do you make per call. How long before the option expires? I know nothing about calls and puts? thanks for help.

Here is an example of a stock where when it was trading at $1.10 just a month ago and its Oct 2008 $2.50 call was trading at .20.
Today its the stock is trading at $2.60 and its call price is now at a whopping $1.10.

In other words...anything can happen. -
if you buy 2.50 calls for 30 cents and it reaches 2.50 you lose 30 cnets, it needs to go to 2.80 to break even

I show newbies that he needs to be watched and to not fall for his pumping.

New to options... Any opinion whether the Jan 09 2.50 calls will open at $.30 ask? I was dragging my feet Friday afternoon and missed the .25 towards market close.
