Expect Liberty to cut a deal soon. 10 days or less
I expect Liberty deal will happen within a weel to ten days. They will resolve Mel's contract. Clear up the control issue with both sides being happy. And start a share buybach program.

Any idea what lmca would do with it's 40% preferred shares if a merger were to occur? We would be given a formula to determine the # shares we had of lmca.
I hope this is the way it goes.
Years ago I had shares in a biotec company (tlrk) that merged with AMGN. What a nice thing! -
Yes Liberty can merge SIRI into LMCA. Then if LMCA feels that it is not getting the proper value it can spin it out as a stand alone company. The float will be far smaller with the stock price far higher.

deal is done guys! Sirius filing that Liberty intends to purchase over 50% just holds them to the intent officially with the FCC---Monday interestin for sure

I thought with an RMT the company bring spun off would get 1 share of the new company for each share of the old comany?

Just wondering what the "it will own more than 50% of the total outstanding shares of Sirius" means
Does that mean the outstanding shares are going to be reduced by more then half?

My gut is telling me the Direct TV/Liberty deal is what you will see here happen with Sirius--Shareholders did very well over the past years with this so heres hoping.....

I was expecting a little more profit taking this morning, but it seems as though a majority of the stock holders are expecting a lot more......and they may be right.
Todays action should scare the living daylights out of shorty.
Watch for the afternoon push, and the expectations of next week!!!
