They steal our technology too. Patents mean nothing to them. I wish dsc20601 and laman250 would see the damage being done to our country. SIRI shouldn't borrow money to pay dividends until they get their debt under control. When SIRI paid down their debt the stock went up. When SIRI borrowed more money the stock went down. Liberty just wants their money back and the other 50% of stockholders are going to give it to them.

FYI Clone Bleue,ther`s nothing wrong with paying off high interest debt and upping your credit rating,to then borrow at a low interest rate on a new loan that`s further out in settlement,biz 101.The company will be able to pay off the new loans with free cash flow going forward and yet be able to buy back shares while they`re still under 3 bucks.Total no brainer for anyone here except possibly a cheese head like yourself.

Blueyedcatch do you know that SIRI paid a premium to retire the debt? That premium was the difference between current interest rates and the old rate SIRI was paying. That's when SIRI booked a lost on that paydown. The only benefit is if the new debt is for a longer term. Then the prepayment penalty or defeasance can be amortized over the new, longer loan term. I don't think you took biz 101 or if you did it was from the University of Phoenix or some other school you see advertising on matchbooks.

I'm worth $5.5 Million and never collected a dime of government money of any kind including a government job. Earned every penny but $500k in stock gains through wages. I paid my way through college and worked long hours saving much of what I made. I bet you derive your income or benefits through the government or a union somehow. Social Security is an exception. I know dsc20601 is living off the government and would bet you gain monetarily too.
