If you calculated their dailu crack spread for the quarter for their region it is $8.91 Based on theprice of the stock and their earnings rlease. HFC earnings will be between .25 and ,31 this quarter annual earning is under $2 a share and they are trading at $49 what did you expect
Funny how these geniuses have tried to talk down the stock since low 40's
50's are inevitable. I also like to sell covered calls to add to my return. Hope to keep the stock on the Jan 51.50's before I sell Feb series
What dip? What I expect is a widening of the spread for the next several months and increased demand due to rising manufacturing data. If you include the 30 cent divi and the 50 cent special divi and calculate the ROI for HFC it looks great. I also expect that when it breaks through resistance at 50.00 it will take off to the upside like a bottle rocket. I think the percent of institutional ownership will bear me out.
Ah... more vague "spread" talk? It never ceases, it seems. What spread? And if it is Brent-WTI, give me a specific example of a market where it is relevant, preferably in HFC's area.
Cracks are not good for HFC right now. WCS discount is half what it was two weeks ago.
If it weren't for the divvies, this stock would be in the 30's. But they have the cash on hand and can buy their way through this soft period.
