using yahoo's net income for the ttm, i got an e/p $3.43 (yahoo reports 3.23. why?). Max gave an estimate of 1.29 for Q2, which will give us an estimate of $4 e/p. if we can get a p/e 15 (currently 14.x), we arrive at $60. is it not sound to expect a pps of $60 with a week or so of the ER release? newbie learning. pls advise.
if we can reach and maintain a p/e 15 (which is 50% LESS than industry avg. currently 14), earnings - pps:
$4/yr - $60;
$6/yr - $90;
so short term after the earnings to $60 does not seem to be too difficult; year end $90 can be tough.
My short-term price target is $60 as well. We will probably return to 52 week high and exceed it after earnings. After all, this company is worth MUCH more than when that 52 week high was achieved. Year-end to early '14 target is $100+...
