If they could, they would like to close QCOR at around 47-48 before the earnings. They are currently trying hard to lower it to 43-44 range without shorting too many shares. Then they want to cover few millions, which will take PPS back to 48-49 range over next few days. If they are successful in doing so, post-earning pps will jump may be up to only 51-52. They play this game again and cover most of their shares below 50 before end of august. I am NOT saying that this will happen, but this is what they are PLANNING to do.
I would add this.
Bouncing off a solid Q2 instead of a weak Q1--more than one big boy will jump in for the ride through year end and 2014. Shorts know this--so this week and next represent their last opportunity for shenanigans with relative impunity, and they are making the most of it.
nomad I hope your right about big boys holding back, but I really think they are playing along with the shorts, doing a little selling with them and picking up more shares at lower prices. Just the game to get the little guys and others. Yo-Yo-time!
