This screws my shares but to tell you the truth I am happy about it. If we're at $75 before October earnings and we get good results it may have climbed to $80. If we're at $60 before earnings we're pretty much guaranteed a jump to $75-80. That's 100s of percent profit on options if not thousands. I will forever hold shares because a buyout could happen, but some downward manip helped me get an exponential return on options in the past and it looks like it will again in the future.
They gotta be desperate if they assign someone to constantly hack Max's ids and complain to Yahoo to get his postings deleted. Why bother with that minutia if you truly believe in a fundamental short thesis. Same thing going on with AFFY. If they truly believed AFFY was headed for bankruptcy and a zero stock price why not rather talk it up to the highest possible price for shorting purposes (and get all your pals to join in)
right up until the excrement hits the fan.
NOT THIS OLD LONG ... AT $55 PER SHARE it's as if they have given us a genuine US Currency Printing Press!!! I have been a strong long for almost a year now and made a sheetpile of money and believe it is nowhere near where it will go over the next 12-18 months which will be ANOTHER DOUBLE-DOUBLE (I.e., OVER $200 per share) !!!
This is what I wrote on Wednesday, Sept. 18th. We closed at $65.63.
Two days later on 9 / 20 /13 we closed at $55.33 down more than $10.00
or down 15.7% and down 26% from a recent high of $74.76.
"With the caveat that no one knows what a stock price will do short term.
$100 is an opinion of what you think it should do."
This is not the difference between a trader and an investor. It is the difference in
where the share price should be, but we do not know where it will be by the end
of the year, which is still very short term.
I realize I can't win with you guys who love this thing so much and especially
Michael, but how much experience have you had following the market? I have
about 1/2 of my lifetime, but I should have gotten started earlier. LOL back at you.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Hard to imagine a legitimate short thesis with all the catalysts upcoming. But I'll take a shot.
How about, "Hey Charlie, WHAT GOES UP, MUST COME DOWN, RIGHT! Let's short this QCOR. I can't understand their product anyway, so nobody else will either. You start posting nonsense on the message boards."
Sentiment: Strong Buy
