    Important clue for imminent price recovery

    Volume AH is low.
    Imoprtant clue that this is AH bid-ask control to manufacture a market response to this news, but the truth is is that it was another blowout Q and the cash position is immense and the volume does not match the pull back. My view - speculative - is that buyers come in heavily in pre-market or at the open. Based on the numbers, analysts should defend the company and higher price targets. Still a growth story. THE VOLUME DOES NOT MATCH A 10% PULL BACK. We'll see.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • I agree Indiana. Everyone is jumping the gun, and you make many valid points. AH volume was very low for the size of the retrace and therefore does not justify the retracement. Also, a majority of the blocks sold were small 100 share blocks repetitively sold at the bid instead of the larger blocks you would typically see from panic selling. This hit $74.76 just LAST quarter with full knowledge of an ongoing investigation and a lowball conservative estimate for Q3. Now we have Q3 results that beat the street estimate by more than 25% !! Folks can try to focus on the negative news which may not even have an outcome (or a positive one if the conspiracy theory is that illegal manipulation was discovered during the investigation, so now the tables are turning), but worst case scenario is QCOR pays a fine or settlement fee. This will have little to no effect on a company like QCOR with low debt and a huge ever-increasing cash hoard. A beat this big will be hard to ignore tomorrow. We have a much higher eps than expected on record now, a current price that no longer aligns with the current P/E, an even brighter outlook, and this company is growing/expanding by leaps and bounds rapidly each and every quarter (not even taking additional indications, test results, and international market plans into consideration). All these things will be very hard to ignore tomorrow or over the next few weeks and months after this earnings release.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • This is amazing and shows sings of total dishonesty somewhere, with great earnings, the stock going up strongly based on those earnings and then a Federal Probe including the SEC at the end of the day, that drove the stock down from $71.50 a share to $63.25 after hours. Something is rotten in the US stock market.

    • Outstanding post!!!

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • indianabraden, well stated. AH trades between MM shorts? Not to mention the repeating 100 share lots. The biggest lot was 1000 shares! Looks like systemic price knock down in AH market to me.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • Indy, good to see you and great to see you weigh in. I read all of your posts on this thread and agree. The volume relative to the 10% AH drop is low. The buying/selling was wildly erratic, which makes me believe that there isn't great conviction that the stock ultimately was down. Possibly some big boy small lot shorting, taking out weak retailer. I can't emphasize "weak" enough. This is 13 month -old news with the caveat of more arms In the investigation. More entities involved in the investigation aren't going to change the worst case scenario of the investigation. Many times before in instances like this, especially in regards to marketing practices, investigations have resulted in a fine and then business as usual. As far as I'm concerned, this has already been built into the PPS. The company's fundamentals/growth is staggering. Fines to companies like Q often result in a hiccup to the PPS, only to rapidly recover. That said, it is disheartening to see this story in the foreground and the great quarter behind. I almost wish Bailey had divulged this a month or so ago. Yeah, the shorts might have had a field day, but it would have created a great buying opportunity. The divy increase would have softened that news and then the unabated Q3 would have blown it out of the water. Right now it's a tactical error that stole Q3's thunder. I'm anxious to read the 10Q and I am cautiously optimistic that big money comes in tomorrow with two hands.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • MMs you know who you are and what you do to rid the retail longs out their good investment. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me! I doubt it would dip at all tomorrow morning. Short squeeze shall start any moment on this blow out earnings for another quarter!

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • Remember when Q had a miss and the pps went down AH?
      After a while you'd a had a smile as it too broke outta that cage.

    • bump. keep it alive.
      here is the transcript of the relevant news:
      "We would like to also let you know that Questcor has been verbally informed by the U.S. Attorney’s office in
      Philadelphia that the USAO for the Southern District of New York and Los Angeles office of the Securities and
      Exchange Commission are also participating in the ongoing investigation by the USAO in Philadelphia. Questcor is
      cooperating with these groups and understand that this type of development is not uncommon in investigations like
      these. Questcor’s Form 10Q is scheduled to be filed tomorrow; we will also disclose this development."

      1. it was mentioned in the introduction, only, of the CC by Doug Sherk, Investor Relations;
      2. it was about the sales practice. no expansion of scope is mentioned or implied;

      Sentiment: Buy

    • It isn't the shorts that matters tomorrow, it is the longs. Will they panic dump? It was quite disappointing when I first checked after hours and saw QCOR up over $71, then down by $6 a little while later. You can't ignore the story but it is a promotional practice story not a story about the efficacy of the actual product itself.

      They did hit a home run with the numbers, which in the end matters.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • let's see what happens tomorrow, too hard to tell, last time we had parabolic move due to short covering I think, this time around shorts may not be hard pressed to cover yet, pending investigation is generating yet another cloud over the share price weather we like it or not, share price is stuck at 62.66 as of 7:07pm, I don't think this is a bullish sign...good luck to all
