The Only scam is that being perpetrated by shortsellers
It's a simple business folks--you buy energy in the wholesale market and provide it to retail customers as an alternative to their local utility company. There are at least 10 other companies with household names that do the same thing. The ONLY reason their are 'scam' allegations with this company is that they serve residential cusotmers whereas the 7 of the 10 other companies serve only commercial. Residential customer = higher sales volume = generally less informed, sometimes seniors = you always get a tiny tiny number of complaints.
That doesn't mean the company is a scam. It's sales process is tighter than any other marketer in the country right now. Also, the small # of complaints will decrease going forward because wholesale rates have declined. Do the execs make too much money? Maybe, it's probably ripe for debate, but this company is adding customers and making money. Calling it a scam because of a couple youtube videos is misleading and irresponsible, and probably a deliberate tactic of shortsellers.
