Of course you do. If you are going to guide down, which they were, and you have an excuse to not put that information public where your stock could get attacked a bit, you avoid it. Especially while negotiating. This means nothing as to the timetable of the buyout.
I agree that it is unimportant at this point and that they would probably rather not divulge how far along in the process they are either, which would be a popular subject of a earnings call whatever the reason.
I think it's a positive sign, but I'm not expecting a deal tomorrow or anything.
