    IDCC to crash at open?

    just a gut feeling

    • Did the gut feeling about going down at the opening have anything to do with coordinating with your buddy Seeking Alpha this morning where somebody posted PANL as a good short based on talk about not seeing any reason for a "turn-around"? Turn-around? As in some manufacturing company whose product is obsolete? Geez, where does Seeking Alpha get those monkeys it allows on its typewriters?

    • Just to clarify to bashers, I'm long 800 shares in my retail account. I've been shorting alot intrady in my prop account b/c I firmly believed the buyout news would come overnight........and the downtrend has been very profitable. I can't do that anymore b/c the 1st round is over, supposedly, and any leakage will pop this POS without limits......my intraday short position is generally 1.5-2x larger than my long position, and i won't risk something like this. But I can't stop laughing at those keep posting old news, reiterating the importance of LTE/4G...besides, none of these so called 'buyers' have said a thing about their interest in IDCC. it was all done thru 3rd parties without any direct confirmations..... I just want a pop, nothing more nothing less.

    • I guess you're not long anymore, S4B's?

    • No news is good news today! If we haven't heard a PR release about ending the stategic alternatives review process, we must assume the bidding is progressing to a 2nd round and higher bid prices.

      • Well..Back over 58 (not exactly a crash)- I assume process is still moving forward or I would not be in. I am all in. Glad the price is so low based on lack of news so I was able to get in ave price 61? I stand to reap a huge profit if there is a decent deal. Much less downside, but a risk nonetheless. I am willing to take this risk in light of Misek's comments indicating he has info basically from interviewing participants in the Nortel auction. He said auction should wind down this week. Keeping my fingers crossed. WHo has the last laugh, the long or the short? I hope it is the long. Best luck. Time will tell.

      • OK! So your gut was wrong. It usually is in the stock market.

    • Take a crap and get rid of that gut feeling. I think this Apple Samsung feud is good for IDCC. It just makes us worth more.
