Title of Seminar: The Great Patent Bubble of 2011 - What Implications for Business?
Peter Holden, head of IP investments at Coller Capital
“Holden agreed that the smartphone sector is at a unique point in its development and that this stage will be relatively short-lived. Prices are inflated right now, but he does not believe this will last. It is unlikely that the patents being offered by InterDigital and Kodak will generate the large amounts that some are forecasting, he stated; that said, if, as Holden expects, both Nokia and RIM put sizeable portfolios up for sale some time in the near future that could be interesting.”
Pleas note, he is saying IDCC will ot get Sky high valuation some are estimating.
Why does his opinion matter you ask? Probably because, besides being a leading Patent investment firm, his partner, Bruce Bernstein was the chief Patent officer at IDCC:

Guess those guys have a pretty good grasp on valuation?
I still think that $75 is achievable, but beyond that M-Partners $118, and other valuations mentioned here, no.
I get an A+ for research guys…
There's a reason people aren't supposed to grade themselves.
Finally a dose of reality from the JackGotme sheep pumpers
Yea, the same guy that got fired from Interdigital? LOL
Why are you posting this old garbage? Just to be an ahole?
How do you know he was fired?
Or are you just dissing him because this deflates your $150 valuation?
Well, you are half right.
If there is a deal, it is likely to be for far less than what alot of you expect. I still believe, however that it is more likely that there is no deal, either because there is no interest or because the interest is not at a valuation that the IDCC BOD would accept.
Lind: your comments are so clearly negative on any post that you add no value to the process here.
