So Nextel took 6 months to close the deal. Is there a time-frame on this where the process is required to end? or typically ends? 6 months will be at the end of Feb., so we still have a ways to go by that standard.
usnOnce a deal is announced the sp (and option prices) will rise close to that buyout price so anyone wanting to buy or sell can do so.The actual closing date is almost immaterial after that.
Actually we hit 6 months this month. Seems like a year already though.
There is no time constraints. Most likely there is much time needed to understand the technical aspects of thousands of patents. (have you ever read on of those abstracts?)But the fact it has gone this long strongly indicates they have reason to believe it will result in an acceptable bid price.
I agree - and to me that means it will be worth the wait no matter if 1 month, 3 months, or even precisely 6 months and 11 days.
