InterDigital, Inc. Message Board

is everyone here 16 years old?

Ok, so I just lost a long, thoughtful post (by my standards), but no matter.

I'll go to the gist of it:

    1. All the back-stabbing and in-fighting on this board has nothing to do with IDCC or its stock performance. It simply reflects anger and disappointment from speculators who lost money foolishly.

    2. Downstock no longer has any confidence in management. Give me a break. Management didn't do anything wrong at all. They have a company that is making lots of money, saw a possible opportunity to grow shareholder value significantly, found that with their particular set of patents there were no buyers at this time (not because the patents are not signifcant revenue generators), and decided to continue on their current business model. The one I invested in before this "alernative strategy" announcement.

    3. Lady Domina thinks Xray owes a whole bunch of people an apology for helping them lose a ton of money. Give me a double-f-ing-break! First, most of the whiners right now are speculators, not investors. You bought IDCC knowing very little about it, probably at around $60-$80 a share. You gambled on it the way a biotech speculator gambles on whether an FDA approval for a new drug is in the cards. You had a 50-50 chance of making big bucks or losing them. And after you lost, you blame an f-ing anonymous poster on an anonyomous message board??? Get a grip, NO ONE coerced you to invest in IDCC. And at $35, if you can't see what you have in your hands, sell it and go away. But whatever the case, accept the risk you took and STFU!

    4. In two years or so, IDCC will be at $60-$70+ based on their 4G and LTE licensing. It was at $42 before the announcement. You can convert from being a speculator to being an investor on this stock, but I don't hold much hope for you if you bought based on the potential buyout, because (if the shoe fits), you don't have a clue as to how this company makes money or sustains it's growth. But whatever the case, stop blaming your fellow posters.
