    Fiduciary Duties

IDCC board looked at what patents were fetching on the open market and believed that ours were superior to what were being sold, so they decided to put the company up for sale. I'm good with that as a shareholder, I also bought more shares believing that our patents would bring in a hefty premium to it's current market value.

Low and behold, the folks that were bidding on our patents also have fiduciary duties to their shareholders. This open bidding on patents outside of a bankruptcy court isn't quite the same thing and no one was willing to pay two or three times IDCC market cap for it's patents; thus our Board took us out of play, or did they.

Volume always speaks, is it telling us that someone wants to buy our patents the old fashion way via a takeover rather then the orderly sale our Board had orchestrated. Seems like it would be cheaper for the acquiring company to make a bid via the market place.

I sure do wish the company had released more information on who was interested and at what price. I sure was pleased to see insiders buying. I'm sure glad I didn't short 7k shares at 37.

For the record, Mr Xray, this isn't pumping it's open talking
(while drinking) on a message board. You should try it, however it might be hard for you to drink with your foot in your mouth.

    • In order to have higher share price, IDCCC will have to do it the old-fashion way: higher earnings which exceed.

If 2012 turns out technology stocks higher, IDCC should follow. Maybe, IDCC might see 50-60, but first staying over 40+ is a challenge.

Maybe, then maybe not..............PE of 18 isn't shabby nor is more then a half billion in cash, what about a share buyback?

However, I still feel someone is buying, positive money moving into IDCC. I know that the market is up, but so are we, with zero volume.

Plus, I'm not believing a partial patent sale, not with insiders buying. That would be a fine hair to split for the SEC. IDCC management are a bunch of lawyers, just don't see them sticking their necks out at this time.
