an EU fine could be hundreds of millions of dollars

They havent fined anyone yet for not frand licensing. but they released yesterday they will start.
in the past, the EU has fined many companies for other anti competition, and fined those companies significantly.
they might want to make an example out of idcc for frand.
they might look at their cash pile and say "an amount of 25% would tell everyone how severe our penalties would be"
imagine that. losing 25% of our cash pile overnight.
and we'd still have to pay the loathesome lawyers.
Maybe the net from huawei might be zero.
frand minus eu fine, minus humogous lawyers fees.
but even a zero net from huawei would be a good thing.
for then , even the 2 boneheads in king of prussia would see they better license everyone else, and that could happen in a week.
someone posted the itc is finally started looking at our numerous, revised, complaints, again.
idcc is all about filings and decisions and pacer reports. but there is very little signing of significant revenues. sony couldn't make phones by themselves, and rimm is a has been.
You'd think the ITC would call the lawyers in and say "hey, the Pesident, the FTC, the Justice Department and the Patent Office have all agreed there will be no ban on imports that would hurt consumers (like the ban google wanted, but was forced to license frand). why would you waste your time, our time, and your shareholders time, to get a judgement from us, that the President will veto during his review period."
don't worry, there won't be a power struggle.
as i mentioned before, any ban by the ITC can be overturned during the presidential review.
the only question remaining is, why is the ITC still allowed to accept import claims, if it has been castrated.
    and forget about arbitration.
the arbitration between LG and idcc has been going on for years.
years ago, samsung and idcc entered binding arbitration, and samsung appealed the result twice.
and idcc and samsung already had a signed agreement.
the pie in the sky promise of fair value hasn't been what has made this company great.
Its made a handful of zealots sing kumbyatic songs togther, a wishing and hoping and cheerleading, and treating others abusively.
No, the promise of fair value has kept this company a 2nd rate , underacheiving company.
