I hear the discouraged tone already and can't help but agree. With that said, I hope I can add again below 10.....like I've been saying for years on this board. They only will need to hit a couple quarters and you will make 10 yrs of gains (with the invested money) in a matter of months. The downside is very limited when compared to the upside....but very limited does mean 25-40%. I could imagine a 7 handle on this....but chop the CAP more than that and it would be bought out. What I'm saying is...you gotta know what you own here. This is a HOME RUN stock....down here the risk/reward in owning it is quite attractive.
It is always should have been, would have been, could have been. Until management starts making investors happy instead of lining thier pockets this stock will languish. In this day of age where oil prices are 3 time what they were 7 years ago it is absurd this company cannot turn a profit. As far as currency devaluation they are better off staying away from markets where they have to wrap their products in $90 million each quarter as gift wrap.
The revenue is there, just need to end these non cash charges. Their activities outside of N. America is the key to being acquired by a company like HAL. I was hoping for a buyout in the $20 range, now it looks like if one happens it will be in the $15 range.
The shares in this company are what you put in your 'back pocket' so to speak around this dollar range. One day they will get this ship turned around. As far as a buyout goes, that will not happen, unless, they can finally get all the misc charges, interanl problems, accounting issues, and taxes figured out. 2014, maybe, would be the year buy out interest starts. But not right now. Afterall, this thing has been a rummored take out target for years. 'Buyout' associated with WFT is like the boy who cried wolf at this point in time.
It'd likely be 20 because there is no way in this day and age of communication that it wouldn't leak early and the stock would run to 15-16 just on the rumor....which would demand at least a 25% premium of 20/sh. IMO, HAL wouldn't be able to comfortably take on WFT. I think it would have to be one of the big boys...SLB or someone if there was going to be a takeover....which I highly doubt.
