Wow. What a bunch of frivilous and mind blowing moronic posts. Stock will take it's beating today and will start a slow climb to $10. At this price it's almost assured that takeover speculation will rear it's ugly head again. Maybe RSH has to listen this time around. Buying calls today.
Well, Dav, in all honesty I think we're probably ahead of the trend (and ahead of management). I hope I'm wrong and management is simply fulfilling its legal obligation to report on the postpaid (since maybe they said some mess about postpaid leading to profits). Hopefully, all shorts will get burned if no prior statements about PREPAIDS was positive. My research turned up some statements in 2007 showing that PREPAIDS were trending good revenue, but that back in 2007 the profits were wiped out by some other unrelated expenses having to do with traditional retail electronics store sales (possibly an inability of the bean-counters to adequately factor that it's not just poor people that would shift from postpaids to PREPAIDS once good phones became available).
Dave ( king of the morons, I might add ) of course I know what no contract is, but it has less than nothing to do with the current situation. The fact that Sprint dumped their one year upgrade to "premier" customer and the fact that their service has become less than stellar, have everything to do with a major part of the problem. Verizon will continue to gain traction in all stores and if someone decides that advertising should be ramped up ( think JC Penney ) and create customer awareness. Current mgmt. is at Dave level ( moron that is ) and needs to be replaced, it's that simple.
