    Can't Even Go In Anymore

I used to enjoy browsing Radio Shack in the past, but now I am filled with a sense of trepidation as I approach the counter to buy. I am going to say that Radio Shack is the single worst customer service experience I have had in quite some time.

Best Buy offers the warranty, but it's not in a forceful, emotional sort of way like Radio Shack. The cashiers obviously aren't under pressure to push it. Of course, I hate the way Best Buy treats every departing customer like a criminal.

Walmart can have long lines at times, but in general it's fairly stress-free. Costco is awesome. The lines move fast and there aren't any pushy cashiers.

    • I am quite aware of the pressure the clerks are under to hawk warranties, batteries, etc, and, reference my previous post about the past policy of getting names and addy's, they were under the same pressure back then to achieve at least an 80% compliance with names and addy's as well.

As a customer, my attitude toward that was, and is, "Not my problem."

If you look at any item of US paper currency, it says, "This note is legal tender for all debts, public and private." Had I walked out of that store in Tacoma WA without paying because the clerk had refused my cash payment of the marked retail price, I am confident the Pierce County district attorney would have laughed at him and his district manager would have fired him.
