Please be accurate, and complete. According to the earnings summary at Etrade, there are 18 analysts, and yes some have project a profit. The high estimate amoung the 18 is a gain of $0.12/ share, the low a loss of $0.40/ share. Consensus average of the estimates is a loss of $0.054/ share for the fourth quarter.
Oh, and apparently out of the last eight quarters, RSH has missed the average consensus seven times. On the one quarter they didn't miss, they matched it exactly. (in other words, they haven't beat consensus estimates even once in the past two years..)
Which is more likely? the one optimistic guy out of a group of 18, or a performance somewhere near the average predicted by a group of 18 individuals acting independently all perusing the same available data.
