    The heart v. the pocketbook

Some posters on this board believe that college students will stay in their apartment and order a CE item online in order to save a couple of bucks relative to buying the item at a B&M store. The alternative is to go to the university bookstore and buy the item for a couple more bucks. How many good-looking co-eds will a fellow meet sitting in his apartment or how many attractive male students will a co-ed meet sitting in her apartment or dorm room? Not many!! But if those students go to the bookstore, there is a good chance of meeting an attractive member of the opposite sex. And if the bookstore is well positioned, as is UT Austin’s, then a wonderful opportunity exists to invite the person to go for coffee and/or a sweet roll at a nearby restaurant. The heart is a stronger magnet than a pocketbook, especially for college kids.
