Well, at least the CEO thinks so. This is a solid company but has had it's day. A merger with a stronger partner and different markets is necessary. In addition, something elso besides free checking and home equity is required on the product shelf. Why not reverse mortgages? If the Fed keeps rates low for the forseeable future how wil the parofit picture improve?
Much better off buying closed end equity income funds selling at a discount yielding over 9% and having outperformed their dividend on both NAV and market price over the last three years. ETV does this and beat the S&P from peak to bust and back to now. There are just better opportunities than this company.
