Dude, Someone is unloading an equal number of shares at $3.80-$3.40. The dividends and royalties are being done because they couldn't finding a buyer. This is negative news. Your efforts to spin it otherwise is silly retail investor jibber jabber. Your speculation failed. Get over it.
Not finding a buyer simply means that they are going to pay shareholders directly. So there's $1.60 coming in a few weeks, and then royalties in the future. Maybe it will be two years, maybe a bit more. Also, just because a buyer could not be found today, doesn't necessarily mean that a buyer might not come along in a year or two to pick up whatever intellectual property remains.
But, worsed case, there is value and payouts coming.
Someone has pegged a value of $3.40 based on some present value of expected future cash flows using some interest rate. I'd be fairly certain it used extremely conservative numbers to arrive at $3.40 considering $1.60 of it is coming very soon.
