q2 earnings in line (accounting magic) and all stores DOWN. Year half over and they lower the year by 10% (next 2 q's are going to be bad)

I think they were just being overly cautious
about the future. Lower the bar so you can beat in the future. If they had said we are reducing our guidance because or 3rd qrt actual numbers are bad you would have seen a much different reaction

OIL. Less pain at the pump, more money to spend on hamburgers. remember this stock began to go down before estimates were cut, doesn't it make sense that I would also rise before estimates are raised.

I just don't understand how it can not react to the earnings report after the rally its had over the last week. And their estimates were completely slashed, not raised. No reason for it to go up based on that.

I still don't see where $3.65+ for a gallon is "good" for anything except the oil companies. I just went by a station yesterday in Clearwater Fl where I bought, many years ago, gas for .29 a gallon.... my son thought I was joking :)
