The birth of the tool may even happen before the coming summer holiday.Achieved stages:- 11/28/11; the initial stages.- 12/12/11; welding of the structure.- 01/17/12; the material, or solar cell, in-feed system.- 2/13/12; the chamber doors are being fitted.- 02/21/12: evaporation chamber is taking shape.- 03/05/12; material transport system undergoing bench testing.- 03/20/12; bench testing procedures are being completed components are being installed.- 04/03/12; major portions of sub assemblies are installed.- 04/16/12; material feed-in systems located at each end were attached and the process of cold automation testing began.- 04/23/12; testing of the cold automation process.- 05/04/12; the system has passed both cold automation and vacuum leak testing.- 05/18/12; the heating system is installed.- 06/01/12; unit testing is completed under vacuum and fully heated.Remaining work, only 2 more steps to go:- the installation of the patent pending thermal evaporation crucible systems.- final testing of all systems individually, as well as end to end. You should stick "Samples produced" and "Cell efficiency verified by NREL" in there. The efficiency is the biggest hurdle at this point, it can be considerably lower than in the small scale lab tests.
I such a production process it shoul make nearly no difference...
