The thing that jumps out to me from reading the Joe's article in the Street today is the talk of importing goods from factories in China and Mexico. I don't follow Joe's but I question how well jeans made in Mexico or China could compete with True Religion jeans made in the US among people expecting "premium" product for premium prices over the long term.
“Our 7 For All Mankind® and lucy® brands have been able to immediately take advantage of VF’s well-established infrastructure, by expanding their product categories, opening new retail stores and enhancing their global sourcing capabilities.”

Fair question. All I know is that True Religion will crush any other high end jean in the Asian Market due to the authentic USA branding. I guarantee you. The rich Japs will spend their entire salary and pawn their only child to taste "real" Americana. It's kind of a perverse obsession they got going, considering what we did to them in the past.
According to Joes MB Joe's IR says they will be making size 33, there is a reason no premium denim manfacturer doesnt make anything about 32. Joe's is going to flame out and that too pretty bad if that happens.
By the way PNP saw your comment on Joe's board and you mentioned that pregnant moms wear Joes ... guess that is why Joe's sells only 1/3 compared to 7's etc. ... that does dilute the brand!
