"Shares of MFA Financial are down in after-hours trading after the company announced that it intends to make a public offering of 60,000,000 shares of its common stock. MFA intends to grant the underwriters a thirty-day option to purchase up to an additional 9,000,000 shares of common stock."
Last closing price in after-hours trading was $8.25.
The announcement selloff after-hours (at 4:25) drove the price down to a low of $7.98.
I'll be looking for the big selloff in the first couple of minutes at the open. If you've got nimble fingers, you could possibly do better than that. Maybe better to wait for a support bottom to form?
